木組みの継手仕口はそのまま残し、墨染めで仕上げました。
古材に新しい命を吹き込むだけでなく、日本の工芸の美しさを表現しています。

かつて京都にあった家屋を解体し、取り壊した梁をアップサイクルしたものです。

本来ならば捨てられてしまうはずの木材は、磨けば新品同様に綺麗に再利用できます。
日本では木造住宅が取り壊されると、木材が集められ燃やされてしまいます。
私はできるだけ多くの再生材を使用することを目指しています。

When timber houses get torn down in Japan the wood gets gathered and burned. Our aim is to use as much reclaimed wood as we can. These coffee tables aim not only to use reclaimed wood and give them a new life but to express the beauty of Japanese craft, showcasing the traditional joinery, The timber in this coffee table was once beams of a house that sat in Kyoto.

・This is reclaimed wood so there are a lot of defects ingrained into the wood
